Who are you? BBB Heart of Texas is looking for a responsible individual to join our Austin office as a Member Eligibility Specialist to serve as a consultative partner to incoming businesses participating in BBB Programs, Products, and Services (PPS).
About the position The Member Eligibility Specialist serves as a consultative partner to incoming non-accredited businesses applying for accreditation or with a complaint. This role ensures a seamless and positive experience while promoting long-term engagement and operational excellence. By offering premiere customer care, education, hospitality, and technical support, the Specialist facilitates smooth transitions for new customers and complaint resolution for non-ABs. The Specialist also provides expert guidance on BBB accreditation, profile management, and commitment to standards, collaborating with internal teams to drive operational efficiency and customer retention.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Review accreditation applications and guide businesses through onboarding, eligibility, reinstatements, and compliance requirements.
Communicate with businesses regarding accreditation, complaints, reviews, and other onboarding or compliance matters
Assist businesses in navigating the complaint resolution process and BBB Standards.
Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity across business profiles and systems.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support accreditation and business success.
Apply BBB accreditation standards, policies, and guidelines in daily responsibilities.
Support departmental goals through research, reporting, and other assigned projects.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications Required Skills/Abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to troubleshoot office equipment.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts.

Meticulous attention to detail, particularly when handling compliance-related tasks.
Resourceful and proactive in resolving escalated issues.
Ability to work effectively across multiple teams to achieve shared goals.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer onboarding, customer service, or a consultative customer support role
Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
